Ibiza - A Perfect Holiday Destination

By Tom Binns

Most people know of Ibiza for its nightclubs and dance music scene, but the island is not just about hearing the latest beats and watching famous DJs play. It is located in the Mediterranean Sea, and is the Balearic Island closest to mainland Spain. It has a coastline that stretches for more than 125 miles which is dotted with many small pristine coves and stunning beaches with golden san and clear blue water.

No matter what your budget, you can find accommodation to suit you. There are cheap lodgings as well as expensive hotels, resorts, and villas, spread-out throughout the island from coast to coast. The busiest time is during the months of July and August when most of the available rooms can booked out, if you plan to visit during this time it is wise to book far in advance.

Ibiza first shot to world wide attention in the'90s when the dance music scene really took off. Now you can find here some of the best bars and clubs that Europe has to offer that attract visitors of all nationalities and backgrounds. But if you want to escape from the partying then you will not be let down. If you want peace and quiet then it is easy to rent an old stone cottage in a rural setting. Also you can spend many days exploring the beautiful walks that the island offers through its stunning Mediterranean scenery.

Ibiza town still retains its medieval charm and is the biggest and one of the most beautiful on the whole island. There is a stunning cathedral, world class restaurants, and excellent bars.

Ibiza is a perfect destination at any time of the year. It has an average of 300 days of sunshine and very little rain. The days never get too hot as there is usually a gentle and refreshing sea breeze. Many tourists are now discovering the charm of the island in winter.

Whenever you choose to come you will find the pace of life to be relaxed and stress free. It is for this reason many tourists choose to make a pilgrimage here every year.
